Borussia Dortmund will play its fourth friendly match of the summer on Monday evening, as the German giants face Valencia in La Liga in a pre-season match. Dortmund are gearing up for a Bundesliga 1860 clash with Munich on July 29, while Valencia will start their 2022-23 La Liga campaign at home to Girona on August 14. Dortmund have already played three friendlies this summer, and opened their pre-season with a win. 3-1 at Loner SV on July 5 before beating Dynamo Dresden 2-0 four days later. The Bundesliga giants were also playing Verl on Thursday, scoring five unanswered goals against the German side, and they now have friendlies with Valencia and Villarreal before kicking off their Bundesliga campaign away from home at the 1860 Arena in Munich on July 29.

Dortmund will then play another friendly match against Antalyaspor on July 30 before the start of the 2022-23 Bundesliga season at home to Bayer Leverkusen on August 6. Edin Terzic's side have been busy this summer in terms of income, with Sebastian Hallerukrim Adeyemi, Niko Schlutterbeek, Salih Ozkan, Niklas Sule, Marcel Lutka and Alexander Mayer all arriving at the club. Dortmund lost star striker Erling Braut Haaland, with the 21-year-old joining Manchester City, and it remains to be seen if they are able to overtake Bayern Munich next season, eight points behind the club.

In the meantime, Valencia are now under the leadership of Gennaro Gattuso, with the legendary midfielder revealed as the club's new coach at the start of June.
