In the UFC’s final pay-per-view event of the year, a new light heavyweight champion will be crowned, and a superstar may make their debut. On Saturday night, UFC 282 comes to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with a card that, despite its lack of star power, has plenty of chances for thrills.

With the vacant light heavyweight championship on the line, Jan Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev round out the lineup. Jiri Prochazka was forced to relinquish the title due to a severe shoulder injury that will keep him out of action for more than a year, leaving it vacant.

The 39-year-old Blachowicz defeated Dominick Reyes in a brutal knockout in 2020 to win the belt. After winning an unexpected decision against middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, he lost the championship in October 2021 after being taken down by Glover Teixeira. After defeating Aleksandr Rakic despite having a knee injury, Blachowicz now hopes to regain his former glory.

Due to his outrageous personality, brazen demeanor, and propensity for getting the job done in entertaining fights, Paddy Pimblett has rapidly become a fan favorite. Even more attention has been turned toward Pimblett as a result of the cancellation of Prochazka vs. Teixeira 2. The rocket strapped to his back will be fueled with a strong performance in the co-main event against the seasoned Jared Gordon.
